THE LINK BETWEEN ART & GRATITUDE: “The essence of all beautiful art, all great art, is gratitude.” -Nietzsche #100daysofgratitude #100DayProject #alivetribe
#100daysofgratitude is a 100 day exploration in the art of gratitude triggered by my personal desire to celebrate the many blessings in my life. It was sparked by this simple observation.
"Whenever I express the emotion of gratitude I feel whole, complete, and connected to a source greater than myself."
My personal definition of gratitude has certainly evolved over the years. And I have no doubt it will continue to do so. As I begin this project, gratitude is a stance… it is a perspective from which I am called to view the totality of the experiences of my life. I sometimes refer to it as a “lens through which I see the world.” It is a spiritual practice where I choose to accept and receive my experiences as a pure gift… Both the good and the bad. For sure, there are days when I am not at all grounded in this stance…
Over the next 100 days I will seek to engage people online and offline in a conversation around gratitude. I will take this opportunity to become hyperaware of the things, relationships, and opportunities I have taken for granted and I wish to be more grateful toward.
I will write hand-written notes, send letters, and delve deep into my expression of gratitude.
I will explore questions like..
What FAILURE are you most grateful for, and why?
What LIFE EXPERIENCE are you most grateful for, and why?
I will research how gratitude effects brain chemistry, relationships, and good fortune.
I invite you to join me and contribute in your own was as the experiment unfolds!
What about you? Gratitude - what’s it to you??
PS this project is born out of a
an awesome group of heart centerd creatives called #alivetribe and is the brainchild of the amazing @elleluna who was inspired to create the #The100DayProject.

"Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, nature, light and shadows. Select only things to steal that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work and theft will be authentic. " -JJ #alivetribe (at San Miguel de Allende)
